Training & Education

The ability to provide you the best training possible when considering the TGS® UKA System is our priority. Our training program provides complete exposure to the system to ensure that your first-time use goes flawlessly.

Our training is divided into the following segments:

  • Case observation
  • Hands-on training
  • OR staff in-service
  • Surgeon and OR staff support

Case Observation

This provides the surgeon the opportunity to observe live surgery with an accomplished surgeon using the TGS® partial knee replacement system.  One of our observation sites is located in suburban Washington D.C. with Dr. Gerard Engh.  As a leading advocate for partial knee replacement, Dr. Engh’s knowledge of the Tissue Guided Surgery technology and passion for teaching, results in an unparalleled intra-operative learning experience.

Hands-on Training

Our standard program uses a didactic education presentation with a Q&A session on the system and a hands-on bio-skills lab to follow. Hands-on bio-skills lab training is the best way to reinforce the unique, yet simple, nature of Tissue Guided Surgery. The training is arranged to coincide with surgeon’s schedule and geographic location. We have a state-of-the-art Bio-skills lab near our headquarters in Minneapolis, as well as the ability to bring the lab to a facility located near you. The training is arranged to accommodate surgeon availability both geographically and schedule wise.

OR Staff In-Service

Whether you travel to Minneapolis to attend a lab or we do the lab locally, we make arrangements to do an on-site in-service on the TGS® partial knee system with the necessary staff members to ensure familiarity with the instrumentation and the procedural steps prior to your first case.

Surgeon and OR Staff Support

TGS® Knee Innovations is committed to providing ongoing surgeon and institutional support for our customers.  As TGS® moves forward, we continue to solicit feedback from our customers and look forward to your input on refining both our training and our implant system.
